[House] Bay Area Children's Theatre Performances Suspended

Dear Friends,

We are very sorry to announce that in light of the
California Department of Public Health's (CDPH) updated policy (http://www.oesnews.com/california-public-health-experts-mass-gatherings-should-be-postponed-or-canceled-statewide-to-slow-the-spread-of-covid-19/?utm_source=Bay+Area+Children%27s+Theatre&utm_campaign=66a20cc836-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2020_02_28_09_03_COPY_03&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_8bc2293674-66a20cc836-97932847)  on gatherings to protect public health and slow the spread of COVID-19, Bay Area Children's Theatre will be canceling the scheduled performances and programs listed below.

The CDPH's experts have determined that non-essential gatherings should be postponed or canceled across the state, including those in which organizers are unable to implement social distancing standards of 6 feet per person.

As you can imagine, this is impossible to do in a theatre!

Accordingly the following performances and programs have been canceled:
* The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
+ All remaining Berkeley and upcoming San Francisco performances
* Good Night, Gorilla
+ All remaining Berkeley performances
* The Wheels on the Bus
+ All remaining San Francisco performances
* Baby Rave
+ All Baby Raves scheduled through May, 2020

If you currently hold tickets for any of the above events, you may:
* Donate the value of your tickets to BACT. Simply email the BACT Box Office and let us know that you would like to make a donation. tickets at bactheatre.org (mailto:tickets at bactheatre.org)
* Reschedule your tickets for a future performance. We ask that you hold off on rescheduling until we receive approval to proceed with our scheduled season. We will be back in touch with you as soon as we have more news.

We are heartbroken to be making this announcement, and hope that you will understand that we're making these decisions reluctantly, but with the health and safety of you--our beloved patrons, our staff, and our communities in mind.

Finally, as you know the situation is constantly changing. We will be sure to update you as we know more about the status of the remainder of our scheduled season.
