Welcome back, Maki!

We are so happy that Maki is back home with his primate family!  His story gained worldwide attention, even making it to "Saturday Night Live”! We are so grateful to everyone for your good thoughts and support. Special thanks to sisters Hayden and Sydney Del Valle for this sweet rendition of "Welcome Back." If all goes well, Maki should be able to celebrate next week’s "World Lemur Day” on October 30th!  Stay tuned!
Sloth-oween Starts This Weekend!

Guests of all ages are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costumes to enjoy a "slow" self-guided adventure to find our sloth-themed haunted houses. Each house features fascinating facts about these serial chillers and the original social distancers. Join us October 24 - November 1!  (Face coverings and online reservations required.)
Play it SAFE for Monarch Butterflies

The monarch butterfly migration is underway! Help reduce the risks monarch butterflies face from pesticides and tropical milkweed this fall. If you have tropical milkweed in your garden, just prune it down to the ground by mid to late October. An even better solution is to replace Asclepias curassavica with a species native to your particular region. There are over 100 native species of milkweed throughout the United States.
