JOIN US SATURDAY & SUNDAY OCTOBER 23-24 & 30-31!

Celebrate a family-friendly Halloween in COVID-19-safe manner with our annual “Boo at the Zoo”!  This year features “Sloth-oween,” a self-guided, sloth-themed stroll around the Zoo’s haunted gardens! Guests must make a reservation in advance to attend. Reservations (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=14694fad66&e=7683a9aed3)  become available two weeks before desired visit date at noon.

Younger guests are invited to participate in a costume parade and contest with prizes awarded for Best Costume, Best Family Costume and Best Animal Costume! All guests will enjoy “Day of the Dead” and haunted houses such as “House of Franken-sloth” and “Count Dracu-sloth's Fortress.”  And make sure to visit our beer garden at Picnic Pavilion near Puente al Sur with live music and festive fare!

This Halloween, we encourage you to use the orangutan-friendly candy guide (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=76a7307d06&e=7683a9aed3) created by our friends at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. The products featured are produced by members of Roundtable of Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and are committed to using certified sustainable palm oil and making a difference for wild orangutans. Check out the other food, cleaning supply, and self-care guides too!

Clancy’s Pumpkin Patch has returned with a location right outside of SF Zoo! After a full day of fun at the zoo, visit Clancy’s to pick out your favorite pumpkins for carving, decorating and baking. Zoo members and guests receive a 10% discount when they show a SF Zoo ticket or membership card!

Nigel, our 8-year-old male burrowing owl who resides in the Koret Animal Resource Center (ARC), invites you to join him on his big adventure through San Francisco Zoo & Gardens! Follow the clues, meet some of Nigel’s friends and learn some fascinating facts along the way! Have fun, it’s going to be a hoot!
We are happy to offer free admission to active military and veterans with a valid ID during Fleet Week, now through October 11, 2021! No reservations required.
