Artists, directors, and teachers, Alexandra Nader and Andrew Barbato are real-life best friends and roommates living their awesome lives as working theater-makers in NYC! Khalia, Alex, and Andrew share in the joy of growing up doing children's musical theater and how it has led to the confidence Alex and Andrew both share within themselves today. Through their work with the award-winning Story Pirates, they are celebrating the words and ideas of kids all over the world. Their invitation for our young viewers is to create a new character that could star in their own original musical!

Alexandra Nader, a Venezuelan/Lebanese writer/actor, has worked with Mas Méjor, Broadway Video, The Daily Dot, Nickelodeon, Tinder, and Captain Morgan. She is one half of the comedy duo Rosababy, whose sketches have amassed over a million views on various platforms and earned her a featured page on WhoHaHa, a digital platform co-founded by Elizabeth Banks, that shines a spotlight on funny women. Alex is a proud member of The Story Pirates, a multi-media company with the #1 Children’s Podcast in the country. She currently hosts their kids’ show on KLCS, the PBS LA affiliate. She is set to film a second season for various PBS stations in Fall 2021. Before completing the advanced sketch and improv program at UCB NYC, Alex graduated from The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, and before that she was in Boston, MA doing an embarrassing amount of Musical Theater.

Andrew Barbato is a Brooklyn-based performer and creator. He is a proud member of the award-winning Story Pirates, where he hosts Story Pirates Radio and directs/edits Story Pirates new television show “SPTV,” in collaboration with PBS.
