Thank you for clarifying the addition of guardian infomation on the online applications for Kelly and Frances Laude. Richard Johnson has been removed from the applications.

If you have questions regarding your application review please contact EPC by replying to this email. If you wish to submit a new application, please apply at sfusd.edu/onlineapp.

In the week of 03/20/23, families who applied by 02/03/23 will receive a notification when their school assignment is available via ParentVUE and mail.

Dear Enrollment Proessors,

Last week, I filled out applictions for my children, Kelly and Frances 
Ladue. I was delighted to find that there was now a space to include 
moe than 2 parents/guardians, and I happliy filled out the information 
for the person who has been a parent to them since they were born, has 
been included on the school emergency forms since the children have 
been in school, and served on their school's SSC for 3 years, Richard 
Johnson.

On Monday, January 9, 2023, I recieved email messages (attached) that 
stated "We are unable to process the application for Kelly 
Ladue/Frances Ladue because the parent/guardian on the application 
does not match the parent/guardian on our files. You must email 
documents from the Courts or Social Services or a Foster Care Agency 
showing the change of guardianship or custody to 
enrollinschool at sfusd.edu."

Unfortunately, reality is not legality in this case, and I have no 
legal documents to show, in the eyes of law, that Richard Johnson is a 
legal parent/guardian to Kelly and Frances. Also, I can not adjust the 
family justice system to have such documents in 10 days' time.

I called the number given in the email on Thursday January 12, waited 
on hold for some time, explained my situation, asked to have the 
application amended to remove Richard Johnson from the parent section 
so the applications could be processed, and was told that I needed to 
send an email explaining my situation.

So, I would like to have the middle school applications for Kelly 
Ladue and Frances Ladue amended to remove Richard Johnson from the 
Parent/Guardian section, so that the children's middle school 
applications can be processed in a timely manner.
