Wolf Awareness Week Begins March 26

Next week is Lobo Week which marks the 25th anniversary of the Mexican gray wolf’s return to the wild! In 1976, they were designated as an endangered species & from five rescued wolves bred in captivity, 11 wolves were subsequently released into a protected small pocket of Arizona and New Mexico. Those 11 wolves are currently responsible for repopulating the approximate 241 that now live in the wild and another 380 wolves in managed care like the four sisters here at SF Zoo! Join us on March 27 and 29 at 12 p.m. for a special wolf enrichment feeding to celebrate Lobo Week!
Introducing Zen at the Zoo

Imagine performing yoga poses as giraffe and zebra graze nearby. That is the ultimate zen! This year, SF Zoo is offering its first ever "Zen at the Zoo," featuring Vinyasa Flow. This one-hour outdoor class will be conducted in the “Donga,” the public viewing area that sits right in the middle of the Leanne B. Roberts African Savanna.

Suitable for all skill levels of yoga practitioners, Vinyasa Flow unites breath to movement while offering a variety of poses. You will flow between postures while building strength, endurance, balance and mental focus. Expect a well-rounded practice involving sun salutations, standing and seated postures and a strong focus on the power of breath.  Learn more here. Join us for Eggstravaganza presented by Kinder Joy®!
Come and experience the beautiful blooms and celebrate Easter during Eggstravaganza presented by Kinder Joy® on April 1! We will host four egg hunts featuring a Kinder Joy® treat and toy. Participation for each hunt is limited to 150 kids per hunt and reservations must be made in advance. Reservations for the egg hunt are now open with limited availability at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for ages 6-8. The reservations for 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. are now full.  As you explore the zoo, keep your eyes open to spot fascinating facts about a variety of animal eggs and make sure to get a photo with the Easter bunny while you’re here! Summer Conservation Camp Registration is Now Open

Encourage your children to be part of SF Zoo’s Environmental Conservation Corps! During these weekly programs, summer campers learn about animals, habitats, biodiversity hot spots, and conservation efforts while exploring the different regions of earth right here at the San Francisco Zoo & Gardens. Hola! Spring Bilingual Camp Returns

Initially created for Spanish-speaking families during the pandemic, our popular bilingual camp returns this Spring in two sessions. Surrounded by more than 250 species of animals, campers will learn from Spanish-speaking teachers about the world of animals and gain an appreciation for our natural world.
