About Kindergarten to College

In the Spring of 2011, then Mayor Gavin Newsom and Treasurer Jose Cisneros launched Kindergarten to College (K2C), the first universal children savings account in the nation. Every Kindergartner who attends public school in San Francisco receives a college savings account automatically opened by the City of San Francisco with a $50 incentive. The class of 2023 is the first class of graduates with K2C accounts!
