The latest news from EVUSA Coming in 2026 New USEF Horse Requirements! Dear Affiliate,   With the USEF Equine Microchip Rule going into effect on 12/1/2025 for the 2026 show season, we wanted to provide our affiliates background information and educational resources to share with your membership ahead of the effective date.   Rule Overview As a reminder, this rule will require all horses to have a microchip to be eligible to compete at a USEF licensed competition. This microchip number must be on file with USEF and, once recorded, will remain with the horse’s record. It is the participant’s responsibility to report the microchip to USEF. The microchip numbers do not need to be collected by the competition; however, USEF will ask competitions to verify that a chip number is on file before accepting the entry. More Information Here  2024 EVUSA Elections First year of new election procedures ARTICLE VII — ELECTIONS AND VOTING "Section 5 - Election Results To be elected to a Board position, a candidate must, If running unopposed - achieve an electoral threshold of 50% of ballots cast. If running against one candidate - achieve a majority of ballots cast. If neither candidate achieves a majority, then neither will be elected. If running against multiple candidates - achieve a plurality through ranked choice voting (plurality with elimination). In all cases above, “ballots cast” refers to a ballot which is marked and returned in an election. A ballot may include multiple races, but not every race must be marked." Read all the details here!
