Hi, all -
Thanks for all you've done over this last year and half! Here's one final
piece of homework that you MUST complete prior to our retreat. We will go
over these answers, among other fun activities, at the retreat. Did I
mention this MUST be completed before the retreat? Here they are:
Confirmation Questions
Here are your questions - less than 10! Please take time to think about
these questions and answer with care. Be sure to include stories that help
explain if you can think of any. It is likely that you will share at least
part of these answers on Confirmation Sunday. You may answer them in
writing, or by making a video of your answers. *Please get these to me by
Friday, October 4, by email or in person. You have to have these done
before we go on the retreat.*
1.
What does it mean to you that you are being confirmed? Why is it
important?
2.
What is your image of God? How has it changed?
3.
When do you feel closest to God? (Where are you? What are you doing?
Who, if anyone, is with you?)
4.
How do you understand Jesus? What is the most important part of his
life for you? Why?
5.
How do YOU follow Jesus in your day to day life?
6.
What does the Christ Church community mean to you?
7.
Review our discussion at our last class - how do you think about these
parts of Confirmation:
1.
Baptism
2.
Communion
3.
The Ten Commandments
4.
The Lord’s Prayer
5.
The Apostle’s Creed
Thanks everyone! Let me know of any questions.
p.s. Packing list, etc. coming about the retreat.
Peace,
Janet
