Hi Kai,
People love to call Nathan & Sons an “overnight success.”

And I get it. From the outside, it probably looks like we just showed up one day with better ingredients and better formulas than traditional (garbage) oral care products.

But here’s the truth:

There was nothing overnight about it.

This started with years of frustration. Standing in store aisles, flipping over labels, realizing how much of what we put in our mouths every day is filled with things we don’t need. Fillers, artificial ingredients, plastic, waste.

And gum was the breaking point.

Something so small. So everyday. But once I started digging into it, I couldn’t unsee it.

That frustration turned into curiosity.
Curiosity turned into obsession.
And obsession turned into years of work.

Reworking formulas. Starting over. Tweaking, testing, failing, and rebuilding again. Trying to create something that felt impossible at times: a product that was actually good for you, made with natural ingredients, and designed with sustainability in mind.

It took longer than I expected. Longer than I wanted, honestly. But there was no shortcut to getting it right.

So when people call it an overnight success, I smile a little, because what they’re really seeing is the result of years of persistence and a refusal to settle.

If you’ve been part of this journey, thank you. And if you’re just finding us now, I’m glad you’re here.

Hi Kai,

People love to call Nathan & Sons an “overnight success.” And I get it. From the outside, it probably looks like we just showed up one day with better ingredients and better formulas than traditional (garbage) oral care products.  But here’s the truth: There was nothing overnight about it.
- Nate 🌲
