1. San Jose Earthquakes game
--------------------------------------------------------
nataliasha2004 - 6/12/2015 11:33 pm

Last one, at least for now!!This one is an invitation
from an acct exec with the San Jose Earthquakes to come
to a game this summer, at a group discount. We
unfortunately don't have the bandwidth to organize an
outing -- but if one of YOU were interested in
organizing, it sounds like they'd love to have us! An
excerpted version of her email to me is below -- please
feel free to share your interest on this board, and
whether or not you'd be up for spearheading an effort
to pull together a group to go! (I did let her know
that we're a tiny group in comparison to the massive
GGMG, so maybe she'll consider letting us piggyback on
a date they might use, or something...)Cheers!Natasha
(over and OUT for tonight!)****************"With summer
right around the corner we would like to invite the San
Francisco Parents of Multiples Club to come out and
enjoy some games this season. We've already started to
schedule member outings with various Bay Area Multiples
Clubs, and want to make sure your members don't
miss out on the opportunity.Kind Regards,MelissaMelissa

Aaaand yet another one (this one is just a
service/resource that might be of use to you!!) Please
read, and let me know if you're interested in seeing

3. Setting up a focus group on new personalized pediatric
health care option
--------------------------------------------------------
nataliasha2004 - 6/12/2015 10:56 pm

These folks have a really promising-sounding new
startup, and are looking to schedule a focus group with
some new parents of multiples... please read on, and
post back to this board if you are at least in theory
interested in attending a focus group on the date
given, or at a future time. I'll let the organizer
know if it looks like we have enough people to set
 something up! Thanks!************************Cricket
Health is a new startup founded by parents of young
children here in San Francisco. We are looking to
bring pediatric care to patients in their homes,
available on demand, delivered by our health care team
of pediatric nurse practitioners and pediatricians from
UCSF and Stanford. Our initial focus is on acute
episodic care (e.g., ear infections, flu symptoms,
upper respiratory infections), and we will focus on
covering the hours when your pediatrician isn't
 available--evenings and weekends. However, we
intend to expand from there. We plan to launch in San
Francisco this summer. We realize that parents of
multiples often have to deal with frequent trips to the
doctor/ urgent care/ER, and we are trying to better
understand whether there are any specific services
tailored to their unique needs that we could offer. We
would love to conduct a focus group of parents of
multiples (ideally between 6-10 people), so we can
gather some feedback, share what we're doing,
etc. We would be happy to pay for lunch/drinks/dinner,
and we can also offer some free home care visits to the
parents who join us.Here is one potential time, but
I'm happy to propose alternatives if this
 doesn't work:12-1:30 Wed June 17th5-7PM Wed June
 17th

coming!) Please contact the sender directly if

Infertility division at UCSF, and we are conducting a
research study about families that have undergone IVF
to conceive and have given birth to twins or
triplets.Participants are paid $50 for completing the

6. Chinese cultural programs --
--------------------------------------------------------
nataliasha2004 - 6/12/2015 10:30 pm

And here's another opportunity, this one for some
cross-cultural learning programs.... (I should say
that I don't know anything about this organization --
but I did say I'd pass along the info, in case any of
our members were interested, as - at least on the
surface - this sounds like it could be interesting.
This is not an official Club-endorsed organization or
anything...)****************I heard from a fellow from
 the China Institute in America
 (www.chinainstitute.org), a cultural organization and
non-profit based in New York. They're apparently
the oldest organization in the United States promoting
 China-U.S. cross-cultural education. Here's the blurb
he sent me:"This July we will be travelling to the Bay
area to bring our free children's workshops to
local communities and we thought the members of San
Francisco Parents of Multiples Club might be interested
one of these workshops for your families. These are
dynamic, interactive workshops whose goal is for
children to learn about and appreciate Chinese culture
and the world around them."Let me know if this sounds
interesting, and I can forward you their flyer (which
is too big to include here.)

8. Volunteer help needed!
--------------------------------------------------------
nataliasha2004 - 6/12/2015 12:25 pm

Hello, all!! Happy summer!Sorry to sound like a broken
record - but the Club really needs YOUR help!! We have
a number of open positions that we need to fill, so
that those of use who have been volunteering can take a
break, or at least lighten our loads, since many of us
wind up taking on multiple volunteer tasks. Each
individual one is generally a reasonable, and
manageable load, and done totally on your schedule,
generally from home. Perhaps if anyone out there can
find a free hour/week? ALL of us are also busy
parents, and most of us have jobs outside the home, too
(some of us, more than one.) Volunteering for the Club
used to be a requirement of membership, but that was
hard to enforce... however the fact remains that the
Club is only as good at the people actively
participating in it -- and we want this to remain a
strong and vibrant, helpful and supportive community!
It really all does take a village...We are currently in
need of new folks in the following positions, in order
of urgency (please inquire if you have questions about
 any):* President* Webmaster* VP/Secretary* Travel
 Closet )
