Get Ready for Our NEW Exhibit!

SF Zoo has a brand new exhibit opening soon, featuring Coquerel's sifaka! If you like lemurs, you're going to love sifaka. These animals move in a unique way that's often described as jumping or dancing.  The newly-constructed exhibit is an extension of the Lipman Family Lemur Forest (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=5674e1bb9f&e=7683a9aed3) and includes a Baobab tree climbing structure along with other plants native to Madagascar. Global Tiger Day

Come celebrate our tigers during Global Tiger Day (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=53fbbcb783&e=7683a9aed3) , an annual opportunity to highlight tigers around the world. SF Zoo has two tiger species, Amur and Sumatran. Learn the differences between the species and what makes each of our tigers unique by attending the 2:30 pm Keeper Talk. Watch the tigers play with special enrichment treats too!

Early Access for Members at March of the Penguins
Saturday, July 30

One of our most popular annual events, March of the Penguins (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=a85bd07d25&e=7683a9aed3) , returns Saturday, July 30 and Members can come into the Zoo early at 9:30 am to get a great seat AND enter a name for our female chick! Come watch our two adorable Magellanic penguin chicks waddle through the Zoo to their new home on Penguin Island. The 10:15 am ceremony celebrates the chicks' graduation from "Fish School" where they lose their fluffy down and learn to eat whole fish, swim and accept food from their human keepers.

Wolf Canyon - Now Open!

Mexican gray wolves (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=0750fae577&e=7683a9aed3) are HERE! Come visit our three wolf brothers in their large, newly refurbished and technologically advanced habitat! Learn the wolf conservation story and how the Zoo is helping grow the population of the most endangered wolf subspecies.

Wellness 101 Camp
Animal wellness is the Zoo's top priority and we're now offering a new program, Wellness 101 Camp, for kids ages 12-15 years to learn about animal behavior and enrichment. This week-long class provides an overview of the mission and purpose of zoos, hands-on experience with animal care and an introduction to zoo careers. Nature Trail
Take a walk along Nature Trail (http://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=a6f6ec6611&e=7683a9aed3) and interact with more than a dozen small animals while learning conservation stories and fun facts from student volunteers. Come see how we've revamped our groundbreaking educational exhibit for the 40th anniversary! Located in the Exploration Zone, Nature Trail is open daily in the summer.
