Bear Cub Bonanza

We bear-ly can contain our excitement over our two rescued black bear cubs!  Come celebrate our newest arrivals to Bear Country at the Bear Cub Bonanza on August 19-20 and August 26-27! There will be a special Black Bear Keeper Talk all four days at 11:30.  Come learn about how our rescued residents are adapting to their new home!

Solar Eclipse Members' Morning on August 21!
Where were you for the solar eclipse 2017?  The SF Zoo, of course! Join us for a special Members’ Morning on August 21 to celebrate the solar eclipse!  San Francisco Zoo Members are invited into the park early from 9:00-10:00 am to learn how to safely look at an eclipse, with the hopes of seeing this “once in a lifetime” event at the Zoo.  We will open the Sloat Boulevard Entrance for Members who will receive complimentary food and beverages at the Playfield Café!

Ride your bike through SF Zoo on Saturday, August 19 at 8:30 am! The 90-minute bicycle tour is led by knowledgeable docents who share animal facts and insights. You'll love being in the Zoo ahead of the crowds and watching the animals begin their day. Registration covers the tour, admission and parking.
