Our leopard and desert tortoises made their picks, and looks like it was split, everyone wins! As the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams prepare for the big game this Sunday, the San Francisco Zoo is proud to give $1 off admission to those dressed in any football related attire (cap, t-shirt, jersey, etc.) February 1-3.
Lunar New Year - Year of the Pig!

Soak up the ambiance of the occasion and marvel at traditional Chinese lion and folk dance performances at 11 am and 1 pm near the Wolverine Habitat both days. Make sure to stop by the Family Farm each day for special presentations to our kunekune pigs! Guests born in the Year of the Pig receive complimentary Zoo admission for the day.

For a different twist on the science of animal mating behaviors, San Francisco Zoo and Gardens presents a special Valentine’s Day Champagne Stroll (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=d6582b6dca&e=7683a9aed3) on February 16-17, where couples can pony up to a special bar cart for mimosas and Bloody Mary’s, then follow along on a self-guided tour with their significant “otter” to various animal habitats to catch up on fascinating animal mating facts. Engaging animal mating behavior facts can be found on brightly-colored, heart-shaped illustrated signs located around the Zoo.

Members receive special early access to the Zoo at 9:30 am on February 16. Complimentary coffee available from 9:30 am - 10:00 am.
Seeking Your Zoo Memories!
We want your Zoo memories for a Zoo Life display that will be part of an overall 90th Anniversary exhibit and for use as #TBT (Throw Back Thursday) social media posts. Video and digital photos can be emailed to marketing at sfzoo.org (mailto:marketing at sfzoo.org) , posted on social media with the hashtag, #SFZoo90. Additionally, photographs can be mailed to, San Francisco Zoo 90th Anniversary, 1 Zoo Road, San Francisco, CA 94132. Submissions should come with a brief description, including the year the photo was taken. Please note that the Zoo may not be able to send back the original, so a copy would be best. Orientations for our popular Nature Trail program, for teens 12-14 years old, will be held on 2/24 and 3/2 at 10:00 am. Orientations for our Talk on the Wild Side and Zoo Teacher Assistant programs, for teens 14-17 years old, will be held those same dates at 1 pm.
