Your Time-of-Use (Peak Pricing 5–8 p.m. Weekdays)
rate plan has two time periods







 

 

 

Shift and reduce some energy use away from higher-priced peak times to lower-priced off-peak times. 


Check the hour before using power





 
 

Try to make a few simple changes to your energy use between 5 to 8 p.m. while still staying comfortable during warmer weather months. 

When possible, save heat-producing chores, like doing laundry, for lower-priced off-peak times like morning or after 8 p.m.

>From 5 to 8 p.m., reduce usage by turning off lights, computers and TVs that aren’t in use. Shift use of larger appliances like dishwashers and washer/dryers to off-peak times.



If you have an air conditioner, you can cool 
your home for less




Set your air conditioner to 75 – 78°F when you’re at home, health permitting. Turn it up to 85°F when you leave.

Cool down with a fan. Fans keep air circulating, allowing you to raise the thermostat a few degrees while reducing your air conditioning costs.

 

Check your air conditioner’s filters every 1 – 2 months. Dirty filters cause your system to work harder to keep you cool, wasting energy.
